Express sterilization
- Following previous known references we were able to demonstrate that the first steps of composting are enough to sterilize the solid fraction of cow manure.
- Observing the analysis successfully completed at the lab we could verify the efficacy of the sterilization with a reduction 100 times superior to the original levels of bacteria.
- We successfully completed the monitoring of the energy consumption of the installation. That consumption was largely reduced by approximately 1KWh/m3. The total process costs 0.14€ per m3 (at 0.14€/KW).
- During the assessment of the different piles we observed that during the two repetitions of the experiment we produced a better sterilization on the pile only made of the solid fraction than on the one mixed with sawdust.
